An Entryway that WoWs

Do you remember how you felt the last time you walked through your door from a difficult day and were met by an overly exuberant dog?

And in the blink of an eye, all the troubles of your day melted away.

The dog was insane with happiness to see you!

And you were absolutely certain there was never a more beautiful greeting EVER in the history of the universe.

This is the exact same feeling we want you to get when you walk through our front door.

You can think of me as the pooch,

so deliriously happy to see you that you will begin to question my sanity.

It’s okay, you won’t be the first.

For those of you who have already had the experience of walking through our front door, I can see you nodding and saying to yourself…

‘Yep, been there…”

You are the ones who know to brace yourself for a body slam hug…  a warm hug, and a dazzling smile that says

“We are so happy you are here!”

The very fact that you are reading this – fills me with exhilaration.

Stepping through this front door is just the beginning!

We cannot wait to share the lessons we’ve learned and the creative skills we have developed, and most of all for you to get a glimpse into our bubble of tranquility.

One of the first things you will notice are the walls of stone.

Our challenge was to create a feeling of warmth within these gorgeous stone walls.

The rich wood on the ceiling and doors is the perfect balance for all the stone.

I will let you in on a little secret…

The door and side panels were white steel.

That’s right…

White steel.

I bet you just leaned in to get a closer look at this picture, didn’t you?

This fools everyone.

It is a combination of faux paint/stain with the use of a graining tool that makes it look so awesome.

If you want to see how I transformed this “Cold White Steel Door into Warm Rustic Wood”,

I wrote about it here:  Cold White Steel to Warm Rustic Wood

Every room needs a breath of life, the green plant provides a touch of life and a promise of spring.

Where there is movement there is life.

This Native American Dreamcatcher rustles in the breeze of each passerby.

I fell in love with and added this dream catcher purely for my own pleasure,

it stirs my happiness hormones.

Every time I walk past it I feel joy seeing the feathers, beads, and shells flutter in a gentle dance from my breeze.

ahhhh… picture yourself walking past it,

now look back…

see the flutter dance?

You smiled because of it, didn’t you?

Me too!

On the other side of this gorgeously stained door – is where our winter coats, gloves, hats, and scarves will stay hidden until next November.

There is good karma here, we can feel it – and we love sharing it with others.

When you walk through this door we hope you feel it too.

And if I seem overly exuberant to share it with you, just give me a gentle pat on the head!
